About the artist
Meet Zoya
Zoya is a mehndi artist and educator working from Topsia in Kolkata. Her portfolio, built up publicly since 2024, centres on bridal mehndi — dense, full-hand and forearm compositions that pair shaded roses and lotus blooms with paisleys, fine jaal grids and jewellery-like wrist cuffs.
Brides often ask her to weave personal touches into the palm, from names in Urdu calligraphy to dulha-dulhan figures, and her feed documents the deep, mature stains her clients return to share. Beyond weddings, her work covers engagements, mehndi ceremonies, Eid and Chand Raat, Karwa Chauth and family gatherings.
Teaching is the second half of her practice: offline batches that begin with cone handling and progress to full bridal design, with individual correction along the way and a certificate on completion.
